FALL/WINTER TIPS & ACTIVITIES"
- Your students want a party? Make them earn it by completing a task that shows they understand the holiday they are celebrating first.
- Create a "countdown to winter break" calendar and reveal a holiday word in Spanish for the calendar each day at the beginning of class. On the day before break, play bingo or another fun game with all of the words from the calendar.
- Find a local charity that helps Latino families or the Latino community and have your students contribute or volunteer their time at their Christmas event.
- Enjoy the fall foliage (depending on where you live) by taking a walk around your school grounds and learning the words for certain items in Spanish. Give the tour completely in Spanish. Try a scavenger hunt while you're at it!
