I made these simple boards by pasting pictures that represent the vocabulary I want to focus on, in this case parts of the face, onto a traditional Tic-Tac-Toe board. Each pair of students will get a copy of all 4 boards. Just as in traditional Tic-Tac-Toe, one students will be X's and the other O's. However, rather than alternating turns, it is the person who first makes their mark on the appropriate picture that gets the space.
This is a great way to build auditory recognition and after only 4 games, your students will have these words down!
